Boutique Dolce & Gabbana

Retail & Commercial Construction of a Boutique in Gustavia

When southern Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana decided to add Saint-Barthélemy to their list of boutiques, they choose a location in a prominent new building on Rue de la Republique near the quai of Gustavia.

In addition to managing the construction of the building, Bureau Xavier David also provided services to Dolce & Gabbana as they built out the interior retail space. Coordination included designers from New York & Italy as well as suppliers from the Caribbean and Europe.
Refined Retail Experience

The white calypso coral stone cladding for the interior walls was imported from the Dominican Republic and the various marble floor inlays from Italy.  Display niches include brass shelving and green vellum accents from Italy.  The grand staircase also provides a unique design focal point with its blue vellum handrail and was prefabricated by millwork artists in Italy before shipment and re-assembly in Saint-Barthélemy.

All of these construction challenges were coordinated by Bureau Xavier David to achieve an elegant and refined retail experience.
